daring souls

God made sense turn outward, man therefore looks outward, not into himself. Now and again a daring soul, desiring immortality, has looked back and found himself.

Kabir says:

'Don't go outside your house to see flowers.
My friend don't bother with that excursion.
Inside your body there are flowers.
One flower has a thousand petals.
That will do for a place to sit.
Sitting there you will have a glimpse of beauty inside the body and out of it, before gardens and after gardens.'

If people only knew...

Rudi,

I think it is even more than what Janice says.
Now and again a daring soul, desiring immortality, has looked back and found himself.

Am I to be that daring soul how far down the rabbit hole will I go.
All the way.
Gosh I feel some emotions.

Thank you for sharing you wonderful posts.

Yes, if people only knew what they are destined to know ...

Maybe Kabir speaks of Eternal Beauty when he points to "beauty inside the body and out of it, before gardens and after gardens", i.e. the Beauty in the beautiful and the ugly, the perfect and the deformed ... Then Beauty is synonymous with Love / Openness / Truth / Freedom, all words trying to describe the Indescribable.

It is only found in stillness ("a place to sit"), because perfect inner Stillness, or Harmony, is Beauty. After all, the rabbit hole doesn't lead anywhere, only to Annihilation, Death, Nothingness, Emptiness, Stillness ... and if you are willing to be Nothing, for one brief moment, this "glimpse" is enough to reveal the true nature of Nothingness, which is Everythingness, or all-embracing unconditional Love.
